1. Twitter! You can even read NEA's article about how to use Twitter here!
I have direct messaged other technology trainers with questions about projects, people I have never met, and have gotten instant answers! Don't think of it as social media, think of it as "Professional Media". I have a PLC of people across the globe that are willing to give me ideas and share their best practices. Talk about motivation! 2. Edmodo: If you are still a little afraid of Twitter, then Edmodo is a good alternative for you. Search for or create your own groups and topics relevant to your teaching. Sharing of ideas and materials easily takes place in this platform. 3. Diigo Groups: Join a large community of people who share interests! As they highlight and take notes on web based resources, get a digest of their work for your viewing! Easy to join, quick summaries make it easy to decide which ones you will read! 4. Educlipper:_ Think Pinterest with an educational focus! Everyone loves visuals! |
Recording Lessons: What's New?
|
I can't say it enough! It is super easy and important to video record certain lessons! Empty seats with missing students? Multi-step processes that will need repeating with visuals? New material that students will need to come back to? You should be recording all of this. Once you have recorded a few times, you will be able to complete to creating the recording with only a few extra seconds of your time! And... This will SAVE YOU TIME AND ENERGY!
